1:1 Laptop Initiative

Cullman City was the first school district in Alabama to adopt a 1:1 Laptop Initiative. This program was established to give all of the students in Cullman Middle School and Cullman High School a laptop to use for school research and homework. Since launching the initiative, CCS has enjoyed improved student test scores, attendance and improved discipline in the classroom.

Extracurricular Programs

Students at Cullman City Schools are encouraged to participate in extracurricular programs, including athletics, music, educational and civic organizations, and career and technical training.

The Cullman Area Technology Academy (CATA) is a high school in the Cullman County school system. CATA students earn a high school diploma with a career/technical endorsement in one of these career clusters: Business and Marketing, Building Systems Technology, Health and Human Services, Metals Technology and Drafting/Electronics. The career/technical teachers are all Business and Industry Certified.
